Welcome to the September 2026 edition of the IUPHAR Education Section newsletter. This issue reflects on an exciting and productive period for our global community following the World Congress of Pharmacology and the 7th IUPHAR Education Section Satellite Meeting in Melbourne.
The meeting brought together educators from around the world to share innovations in teaching and assessment, explore the opportunities and challenges presented by artificial intelligence, and discuss how we can create more inclusive, sustainable and future-focused pharmacology curricula.
We also provide updates on several IUPHAR-Ed initiatives, including progress on the Core Concepts of Pharmacology project, a link to express interest in contributing to the Pharmacology Education Project (PEP), and a save the date for the next Core Concepts Workshop and Symposium in Prato in 2027. In addition, we take the opportunity to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of our 2023- 2026 IUPHAR-Ed Councillors and welcome those who will help lead our activities in the coming years.
As always, thank you for your support, collaboration and commitment to advancing pharmacology education worldwide. We hope you enjoy this edition and find inspiration for your own educational practice and partnerships.
