World Patient Safety Day 2026: Safer Care for People Living with NCDs

The International Society of Pharmacovigilance (ISoP) is proud to support World Patient Safety Day 2026 , led by the World Health Organization, under the theme “Safe Care for NonCommunicable Diseases (NCDs)”.

World Patient Safety Day is a global initiative that mobilizes stakeholders across healthcare systems to reduce avoidable harm.

The 2026 campaign focuses on safety for people living with noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), who require long-term, continuous, and often complex care across multiple settings.

Safety risks span the entire continuum- from prevention and diagnosis to treatment, long-term management, and self-care- and are shaped by clinical care, health system challenges and social determinants of health.
